Unfortunately this event is now cancelled due to poor weather.
My view of an eternal optimist, this Saturday is due to be the Wiltshire Astronomical Society / SPOG Messier marathon. Of course, the weather is unlikely to co-operate, but you never know. If it does start to improve, we meet on the Ridgeway near the North Wilts Golf Club. A fuller article about the event appears in the March WAS newsletter which can be found here. If you intend to come along, do drop us an email using this site or to email@example.com we can let you know what’s happening.
This Saturday is the annual Messier Marathon with the Wiltshire Astronomical Society. messier marathon 2012 is the information sheet as published in the WAS magazine. We’ll be at the site from 6.30pm – wear/bring warm clothing as the Ridgway is colder than Lacock and, as it is potentially an all night session, some food and a hot drink is also a good idea.
Here’s wishing everyone at SPOG, WAS, MAD and beyond a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Clear Skies!
I managed to get some nice views of Jupiter in conjunction with the (virtually) full moon last night, despite a lot of cloud being around. Anyone else see it?
